Adirondaks info needed

We are going to shake down our Ford SMB that I've been working on for the last couple of years. We are thinking of heading up along the St Lawrence along the 1000 islands and maybe dropping down into the park for a day or 2. Wondering what's still might be open the 1st week of October for van camping? Any ideas or suggestions? We are coming out of Grand Isle VT.
