Afternoon drive in Soutwest Wyoming

Went for an afternoon drive in the foothills of Southwest Wyoming.

If you look close you can see two baby buffalo. There actually were three babies, but couldn't get all three in one shot.

Lots of open space

Piedmont, Wyoming ghost town. Learn more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piedmont,_Wyoming

Cemetery of family of founder of Piedmont, Wyoming. There were about 15 graves of children who died before the age of six.

Charcoal kilns built by founder of Piedmont. Hopefully you can read the signs

More open space

What does this sign mean? I know there are a lot of guns in Wyoming but I didn't know there was a law about loading your own ammo.

Re: Afternoon drive in Soutwest Wyoming

wow, thanks for posting/sharing.

my grandparents took me there 40 some odd years ago. i had completely forgot about the trip until now. i barely remember being there I was so young. now I'm gonna have to go back so my memories are mine and not just remembering pix from the family photo album (and this post), lol.
