I've been wanting to attend the KOH race & do at least part of the Mojave road for the last couple of years, but just haven't been able to work it in. 2020 might be the year to get them both checked off the bucket list. If it works out, I'd love to meet up for that part of your journey.

I'll post the exact dates once we've got them confirmed, but right now we'll be there from 12/24 thru 1/14 and hoping to extend the stay thru 1/28.

All are welcome to stop by our place for a margarita, stretch of the legs, pee break, what ever... Parking is free & there's plenty of space

If anyone stops by and has the time, we can even do a little guided sight seeing out to the Baja 1000 race road, the sulfur mines and the fossil beds, as all are fairly close.

Oh My Gosh. Yes to all of this. KOH and Mohave Rd on my bucket list as well and I already have plans to be at Puerto Nuevo for New Years. Sounds like a detour to the east coast is in order. I even run a sulphur processing plant in the Port and would dig checking out those mines. I've looked at them on Google Earth.

Just in case anyone is interested in joining or will already be there, we will be headed to DV this next week and possibly Mojave and maybe Anza Borrego after that. I also might be available to head back to either the beginning of January.
We’ll be in Southern California tooling around from now till we head to Baja late January with a few dates already booked, but if it works out, would love to join others in exploring some new areas.

Well, our trip just got cut in half... Due to circumstances beyond my control (my wife's job), we will only be down from Dec. 24th to Jan. 7th.

Anyone in the vicinity during those dates is still welcome to come by. We are on the waterfront row that sits on a small bluff right above the Sea of Cortez. We have enough space to put a couple rigs on our lot and a couple more close by.

Seems to be several Baja threads going....As of last night, made it to Desert Trails in El Centro, gearing up and getting our things in order to be able to cross into Mexicali sometime tomorrow morning.
We’ll be making a stop at a grocery store once across, then head down to San Felipe to one of the RV camps near town to hang and get our bearings for a few days before moving further south.
Anyone else......?
