Re: Mojave over New years

I'll keep an eye out in hopes of attending Chris. Never been there yet. Guess it's time to edit the title?

Re: Anza Borrego over New years (Was Mojave)

Def interested. Staying in one spot and having a friend with a Rubicon uber us around is a great idea. I'll bring the drone.

Thanks Dave. Over the next week or so I hope to begin narrowing down the potential camp sites. Charlie 56 and Tapatio have multiple suggestions and others may way in.

Tapatio with the help of maps from Charlie56 will make some location suggestion. I'll get the info posted as soon as I have it. Tapatio has been camping in Anza Barrego since he was a kid and knows the park well. The trip is shaping up nicely I think.

Re: Anza Borrego over New years (Was Mojave)

Just in time for the trip.
Get your Ham Radio License by attending our Club’s weekend course in November.

Then be able to communicate on the trail with the likes of Tapatio, accrete, stampy, TexGX, BroncoHauler, Gooseberry, loren85022, SteveInLA, rob_gendreau, macmcintire, pinz712, myself, and a host of others.

The course itself is free, but there is a $15 charge for materials (well written study guide) and $15 fee for the exam.

Here is more information.
http://sonomacountyradioamateurs.com/wp/events/classes/

For others not in the S.F. Bay area. Shoot me an email and I will try and get you hooked up with a course in your area.

I was just talking to some friends about a similar trip over the holidays. We did Death Valley last year and it was great, Goller wash was amazing. All I have to do is figure out how to do Xmas on the road. Wheels are turning............Arctic Traveller

Death Valley was a great trip, you need another Baja trip as well.
