Have a great time, wish I was going. Should be beautiful up there with the predicted good weather and all the rain we have received. I'll be in Long Beach for the birth of my 2nd niece .

Thanks for the 'good weather' wishes. My definition of that is not what you guys are thinking. I need storms, clouds, some rain, breaking storms, raging seas, and fog. Clear sunny days are a waste of time for me.
I'm a photographer.

A long time ago we used to travel those roads through Los padres starting just behind the campground at san dollar beach or plaskett creek. I remember driving through the clouds and feeling like Supernatural. Heading up the road past most of the homes tucked away is a small offshoot right in front of you as you are forced to turn left. i also hear now there is a chain that covers the opening. behind the chain covering it is a pretty decent "hippie" commune with multiple wood "cabins" a smokehouse and a pool. There's even other bigger structres there too or was nearly 17 years ago. I have many fond memories up there maintaining the place while we stayed there surfing at willow creek. It's a blast from the past and there is even souveniers left from an era long ago. If you miss it, the road continues around it and you might be able to see a rusty smokestack to your right as you head up the hill. I've got to dig up some old pics but I've wanted to go back there to are what it's like now.
