Couple images from our Southwest Parks trip.

Much to quick of a trip but we saw a lot. Started in the Grand Canyon as my wife hiked it rim to rim in one day. Crazy women, I picked her up on the North side after dropping her off on the south side. We then drove up and meet my her parents for a three day tour of most of the parks in the Southwest area. We did not spend much time in any one area but I know where I want to go back to get great photos now. Really enjoy seeing everyones images on this forum and picking spots I need to go in the van.

Rim to rim: impressive

Rim to rim in one day: uhhh, I'm torn between really impressed and thinking your wife needs some serious help.

Which took longer, because as crazy as rim-to-rim is, it's not exactly a direct drive between the two rims.

Herb,

Hiking takes longer. It's only a 6 hour drive, but it is a 30+mile hike. And from south to north the steepest part is right near the end.

Rim to rim has been a lifetime goal of mine. Oh, more like a pipe dream.

Re: Couple images from our Southwest Parks trip.

She is crazy!! And the group she hiked it with was too!! LOL. I took my time driving to pick them up. Looked for some good photo ops along the way but shooting mid day with an overcast sky made for 0 photos for me. I usually enjoy the drive but not that segment. I showed up on the other side a few hours early and sat in the parking lot drinking Baileys and coffee.

They came out of the canyon looking like a truck him them. We got lucky and got the last spot in the campground there.

The next morning we took off to meet the in laws up North for the rest of the trip.

How many where in the group that did the hike? Sounds way to adventurous for me.

Dick & Anne, there were six in their group. The same group climbed Mt. Whitney the year before for three days. Again, I acted as base camp support and took photos while they were hiking and maintained the keg.

That's a once in a blue moon moment. Sorry couldn't resist.
