Death Valley Info

I know there are some Death Valley experts on here somewhere.

I'm wondering if anyone has taken an EB van up to the Mahogany Flats camping area? The Map says "narrow, winding road and no vehicles over 25' allowed".

My presumption is that EB would be fine but wanted to hear any first-hand experience.

25 feet is pretty long! I would imagine a fully equipped smb eb with aluminess bumpers would clock inaround 23 or so.

Been up there lot's of times, but not with a van. I think an RB could make it. It's not that long, so it can easily be scouted by foot first. An RB with the big bumpers is 20' long so figure the EB is 18" longer. I think that's the difference.(?)

mahogany flats

It's been several years since I've been up there, but think you'd have no trouble getting to Wildrose. Not so sure beyond that. The folks at the Furnace Creek visitors center would know. (don't know the fone number, sorry)
