Reserved, the paperwork is being sent to me. It is a nice, secluded, fairly open field in the midst of the State Forest. I reserved it Wed through Sun nights, but I know everyone may not be able to stay the entire time, so just come when you can. Because it is a group site, I had to order a porta pottie as well.

There are 100 miles of roads and trails within the State Forest, some are 4x4 only. The scenery is outstanding, with plenty of overlooks, tunnels, rivers and streams. The C&O Canal goes right through, so there are locks and other interesting canal related features nearby. Nearby Rocky Gap State Park has one of Maryland's casinos. There is a craft village, restaurants, pubs, Civil War sites, on and on nearby. Or just chill and hangout around the fire!

Let me know if and when you think you can attend. As well, let me know if you have any other suggestions.
Hey Carl, could you please edit the first post and/or title to include the date/location? This is always an unseen problem when planning stuff like this. It gets buried in a long thread somewhere and people have to dig for the info. If you can no longer edit PM a mod, they can update it.

Thanks

Dave,

With the Potomac River passing along side of it, Green Ridge has some great canoeing, kayaking and fishing spots. Bonds Landing has a boat ramp, camping and picnic area and is a really nice starting or ending point. My brothers have canoed it and can give some tips. It is also a great spot to start or end a bicycle ride along the historic C&O Canal, a 184 mile long biking and hiking trail between Cumberland, MD and Washington, DC. My sons have biked it and can give some tips on that as well. Depending on how the river is flowing, it could be best to use 2 vehicles, one at each end, but that can be worked out. I'll be bringing an inflatable kayak.

Eric,

That is a good idea, but I am not able to edit my first post. Checking on how to contact an Admin for permission.

Greetings to East Coast Meet Up Attendees -- Not sure if this is appropriate conduct - apologize in advance ! I've mistakenly ordered the wrong solar panel(s) for my van.

Here's what I ordered - ACOPOWER 120W Mono Lightweight Portable Solar Panel Kit 2Pcs 60W Solar Suitcase, Waterproof 20A 12V/24V LCD Charge Controller, etc.

I can't send them back (currently unopened/never used) - so was wondering if anyone attending EC Meet Up might have an interest in buying them ? I could bring with me to Green Ridge Forest - Maryland and do a deal - cost was $ 380 bucks all in - willing to part with them for $ 300 bucks. send me a PM if attending and interested !?

It is a little over 6 weeks out, but I would like to start a list of attendees so I can decide whether to open it up for some others. Can you please start sending me your name and count so I know how to proceed?

Thank you,

Carl

It's commendable you've taken on the role of Social Chairman, think it's a hat that suits you well Carl.
Still awaiting updates on our work project - and hoping I'm able to finagle a way to join so if you need a count now, put Kathi & I on the list (we'd very much enjoy getting together with the group, even if its an abbreviated visit).

Carl - Thanks for putting this together but unfortunately those dates conflict with another obligation. Sorry to miss this as we would liked to have caught up with you and others and made new acquaintances.
