Thanks for putting this all together again. Anastasia and I will definitely try to make the trip. Honey has grown big and strong and should be a nice addition to defend against anymore possessed NRocks raccoons :-)

Lee,
We are interested, keep us posted. We are definitely interested in doing the full length of the North Fork Trail (MTB).

fw500a would you be interested in riding with us? I know shyll would be, maybe Lee too.

I can’t rule out a return of the evil raccoon. He is not from this world.

I think we will be prepared, if he decides to show up again.

We've been preparing for this next Rally. He was such a hit last year, imagine what our family can contribute...

Wouldn't a nice WARM and sunny place by the Beach be better spring location than up in West Virginia? Myrtle Beach is always sunny... and more things to do than in WV.

Quick Update

All,
Wanted to provide a quick update on the planning effort. We're locked in with NRocks in Circleville, WV, for the weekend of 02-05 May.

Caving:
Coordination ongoing. The 1/2 day guided caving takes place off site (circa 30 min drive from the camping area) on private property. Worth noting is that this is not a tourist cave. It is a primitive cave with a route that includes everything from tight spaces to corridor ceilings and large caverns (all illuminated by the beam of your headlamp). Think walking, stooping, and crawling. Honestly, its just too cool of an experience to accurately describe.

All participants will receive instruction in basic caving safety, underground navigation, and elementary limestone geology.

Cost is $125.00 for a group of 3. $25.00 for each additional participant. If we get a group of 6 the cost will be $25.00 each. Hope that makes sense.

Would like to get a gauge of who would be interested in participating in this activity so I can move forward with scheduling (if there's enough interest we could look to do this either Fri or Sun so folks could do the Via Ferrata as well).

Via Ferrata:
We are locked on for the Via Ferrata. Will take place on Sat (04 May). Likely a mid-morning launch.

Canopy Tour:
The canopy tour will be available 03-05 May. Launch times will vary.

North Fork Mountain Trail MTB Shuttle:
Coordination still required on this one. I'll tackle this over the next several weeks.

Band:
Have begun coordinating with a band to play either 03 or 04 May (preferably 04 May). Will let everyone know when they're booked.

NRocks Location/Contact Info:
Address: 141 Nelson Gap Ln in Circleville, WV 26804.
Coordinates: 38°42’2″N – 79°28’20″W
Phone: (877) 435-4842

Communication:
As a reminder, there is no cell phone coverage in Circleville (it sits in a radio free quiet zone due to its proximity to the National Radio Telescope in nearby Greenbank, WV). Free Wifi is available at the NRocks Welcome Center. Several folks will also have Garmin/Inreach devices on site if needed.

Camping:
The camping area is booked. Like last year, the cost is $7.50 per person/per night.

Really look forward to this year's event.
