Am planning a trip to some of the geological sites in Central Oregon. Wanted to let all of you in the NW know about it. You are welcome to join us. It is posted over on Expo. https://www.expeditionportal.com/for...y-tour.203323/.

Larrie, I have been to Glass Butte. Very interesting place, just bring plenty heavy duty digging, prying gear (and eye protection). We dug up a fair amount of mahogany obsidian there, but we still haven't really found a use for it.
If you want another option, there's also sunstones in Oregon.
The sunstone area is on another list of places to go at another time. Am trying group the sites that are close together to make for less travel time.
Thanks for the tips on glass butte.
