Re: Get ready to get your BAJA on! 2/27/14 - 3/7/14
Might I suggest a 2nd caravan for an abbreviated trip?
10 days sounds epic but there might be others that might not be able to make the full length trip and would have comfort in knowing they can head back to the states with a mini caravan.

It would be very easy for any individual or group to join or leave the main group at any time.
If just seeing the whales is your interest, you could easily drive down Hwy 1 and meet us at San Ignacio or come into BoLA. On the other hand, it would be easy for some to head north after Gonzaga Bay. Some could also join in Gonzaga...
If you have an interest in a abbreviated version of the trip, post up your wishes and we well work out a plan.
Time and money... never enough, is there?

Get ready to get your BAJA on! 2/27/14 - 3/7/14
I made that suggestion mostly for my own interest. But I would not doubt if someone else has the same sentiment. No need to make any plan changes just for me. I definitely want to go, but It being the first time to Mexico (pacific side) in years I want to go without the family yet I don't want to be away from the family too long. Trying to win father of the year award
The other dilemma for me is I don't want to travel solo in either direction.

We're tentative at this point...
I have time off scheduled but its the middle of February. I need to see if I can somehow switch.
Oh, and for anyone on the fence... Ramsey put together a fantastic itinerary! Calamajue Canyon is probably one of the most beautiful canyons in Baja. You can also stop and visit some Mission ruins at the north end of the canyon.

Re: Get ready to get your BAJA on! 2/27/14 - 3/7/14
The biggest problem with this trip will be too much to see and do.
Jacko, I am sure there are others in the same situation as you. The schedule is not set in stone, but I think it is a pretty good backbone to work off of; we have several months of planning time.
With then main group sticking to the schedule, it will be easy for sub groups to join and leave the group as needed.
Post the sub-schedule you would like and look for people to join you.
Whatever you do - come to BAJA!

Abbreviated caravan proposal:
Skip San Felipe and meet everyone at Gonzaga bay 3/2 then return with the caravan 3/7.
Thoughts?
