Re: Get ready to get your BAJA on! 2/27/14 - 3/7/14

We are going to take this opportunity to "Prerun" for the trip and decide on camping spots and locations for the trip.

If anyone wants to join us for a few days, it will be fun.[/quote]

We plan on being there and would love to hang out a bit and see some of your favorite camping spots. I'll be in your area about a week prior, and have National Spring lined up to re-arc my springs, since there is not enough time to build a new pack prior to the race. I'd love to catch up with you prior to crossing the border, what day do you plan that and where are you headed to the first day? Were thinking of spending the first night somewhere outside Ojos, and then leaving first thing and moving to Mike's to watch them come through later that day. My buddy wants to cross at Tecate and head down by Santa Veronica, but were open to ideas...............Arctic Traveller

National is just down the street from our shop.

Your plan is good, but cold!

We want to be on the Sea of Cortez where it will be warm at night - mikes will be cold.

Let's plan by PM.

That was a close landing. It looked like he landed on his side but there was just enough rotational momentum to get him over. Ever cool.

What I found to be crazy was that they more or less used a straight ramp, and then had the front drivers side hit an angled ramp to get him to roll.

My wife and I are new owners of an SMB. We will already be down in Baja, but would like to join you for the off-road stretch of your trip. Full disclosure: We are absolute beginners at off-road but willing to take on the experience. Can complete newbies join in the off-road fun?
