I thought I would try to post a few of my Toroweep pictures here. On the way to Toroweep on Monday, September 20,2010 I stopped in Mesquite next to this Westfalia. I felt quite superior in my Sportsmobile
.
Then I met up with Steve at the Clayhole Road outside Colorado City, Az to drive in together to Toroweep. Sitting next to his 4X4 Sportsmobile made me feel small in by 4X2 van
Heading in to Toroweep on the dirt road.
The road in wasn't bad at all. Easy to do in my two-wheel drive. Could have done all except the last 10 miles in my car. Stopped to rest our rears and take pictures. Picture is of Steve and Robert. We didn't know we were only about a mile and a half from the campground.
The last ten miles to the campground were rough, but not so bad that my two wheel wouldn't have made it. That is if I hadn't driven directly into the big rock about 300 feet from camp. After that the others broke out the margaritas. In the picture are l-r are Steve, Rick, Chris, Mike, Ruth, Alex and Robert.
Great picture of Rick, Steve and Chris' Sportsmobiles all lined up. How beautiful is that?
