Headin' Out
I'll be gone on an 8 day trip in the van starting Tue 10-9. I'm heading to Bodie, CA for a three day photo shoot. Then, four days to shoot the fall color in the canyons along rt. 395 & the Eastern Sierra. I may have internet one day while visiting a friend up there. Like Ken says, CUL8TR.

I'm billed out and bound to go.
I'm gonna leave here runnin',

Bodie, Ca.
looks like I'll just miss you, as I hope to arrive in Bodie Friday afternoon, the 12th. I've driven by there a number of times and it's about time to stop & have a look.

Was just up there this weekend. Weather and foliage were incredible. October is my favorite month of the year in the eastern sierras. Have a safe trip.

Thanks, Rob, and Phil.
Phil, I'll be leaving Bodie on Friday mid-day, and heading somewhere close-by but unknown at this point. Could be Virginia Lakes or Lundy canyon. I may stop in Bridgeport for supplies first. Keep an eye out for me on the road, and honk if you see me!

Have a good trip. My wife and I just passed through over Tioga pass across to Benton on our way back to Colorado...beautiful colors right now! Take lots of photos! I'm jealous.
4 more weeks and we head back to the general area (Saline Valley) for fun in the sun.

Jeffrey,
Last month we did lunch at the Whoa Nellie Deli, then headed up to explore Lundy Lake area. Check out some of the seasonal cabins to your right as you are driving in, the roads are crazy steep and rocky but good for exploring about. There is also a very good OHV trail off the road into Virginia Lakes. Check out FR178 off Dunderberg Meadow Road. It branches off the Meadow Road and heads up to Dunderberg Mill, then ties back in. You can p/u 395 again just N of the Virginia Lake Road. Green Creek Road is another option worth exploring near there.
Have a safe trip,
Jeff
