Hermit Valley, Alpine County

Hi all! We're going camping this weekend at Hermit Valley. We'd love to see some other SMBs there. Bring kids, bikes, and fishing poles. We'll be living in the big white van, down by the river... See you there!

Brooke

Re: Hermit Valley, Alpine County

We had a great time. It's a great place to mt bike and play in the creek. We found a free site just east of the pay campground maybe a mile. It's hard to see, just a simple brown 4x4 sign post and a hard right turn into the trees if your heading east on hwy 4. It kind of winds it's way through the woods down to the North fork of the Mokelumne River. Great sites and no people, complete with fire rings and pit toilets

The wild flowers were in full swing around bear valley ski resort and the swimming in lake Alpine way awesome. I'll put a few pics in our gallery, but like most trips the best pictures are in our head or the battery is dead....... ( yes dear I'm sure I turned the camera off) maybe.....

Damn..... I not only forgot to turn off the camera I forgot to post the few pics we have. Not the best but you can get an idea of the camp site. Great place to just listen to the river (creek) at night and have some fun.
