Great video!! Which route did you guys take in?
Looks kind of smoky. But it helps bring out the contrast with the canyon wall stacking up in succession. Nice pic!

Nice. Are you just going to tease us one photo at a time? Waiting on that quadcopter video.

Thanks for sharing.

Re: Kelly Point Overlook - Grand Canyon

Lol, been crazy busy with work. Much rather be working on them instead of the photos I am working on. Might just have to throw it up RAW for now and clean it up later when I get a chance....

lol, i always wonder this, cause ive seen you do it before. i assumed it was a way to keep us coming back to your threads for updates sneaky

great pix as always! the one with you three on the edge freaks me out just seeing it. obviously im a little terrified of heights and just seeing you guys out near that edge raises the hair on my arms and makes me feel like im right there. when you can provoke those kinda feelings without me even being there, your doing it right. well done

Re: Kelly Point Overlook - Grand Canyon

More like the Plumber never fixing his own house. I have images from two vacations ago that have not been touched. Still need to go through everything from the Baja Trip a couple months ago. The wife has been after me on those as she wants some prints up on the walls.

Short video from the Point below. Nothing great, the wind was blowing fairly hard up there so took a few minute flight for stills mostly and landed. Surprised I did not loose it on the next circle out over the canyon.

I'm sure we all can tolerate seeing your untouched pictures. We will forgive you for putting pictures on the Forum that are of the typical quality that everyone else puts on here. I'm sure that your untouched pictures are 1000% better than the usually blurry shots I've put on the Forum.

Re: Kelly Point Overlook - Grand Canyon

The word on the street is you can hike to the river from Kelly Point. There's a route to get down to the Supai platform a mile or so up the road from the point. And then down 224 mile canyon.

Another interesting tidbit is the road is party so rough because it's on lava flows from Mt. Dellenbaugh. But the lava flows are younger in age than the canyon. In fact, the canyon in this area is the youngest at 5 million years. The eastern half of the canyon is twice that. Or, so they think. Anyhow, none of the Dellenbaugh lava flows cascaded off of the edge. For example, what you see closer to Torroweap.

Re: Kelly Point Overlook - Grand Canyon

Phantom 2 with GoPro. Did not take the Octocopter on this trip. To windy almost everywhere we went on this trip.

On the ridge we were on it was blowing 20 plus at the ground and who knows what it was up higher.
