Let's crash the VDUB Desert Blooming Wildflower Tour

Re: Let's crash the VDUB Desert Blooming Wildflower Tour

That's hysterical! I also got that e-mail and crashing the party was my first thought too! Imagine sleeping in and leaving late Saturday, blowing by the lot at 75 mph and have camp set up and be taking a shower when they arrive in Aqua Caliente! I know it's a VW thing, but I don't regret trading up for one minute. Unfortunately I have other plans for that weekend.

While we are talking about group SMB outings, is there any interest in a trip to Racetrack in Death Valley around October? Let's see the VWs crash that!

That looks like it would be a interesting round trip to make. Need to find out when the desert blooms in Oregon.

I'm up for this, besides our SMB'S started as a VW but we just grew up and became more refined.

Christine could get a hilarious movie out of it... call it "Occupy Bloomers" or some such

*occupy bloomers, hmm, new band name?*

EDIT: ok,ok, how 'bout "Occupied Bloomers" for the movie name?

I started with a 95 vw eurovan camper, then upgraded to a 97. Worst financial decision ever and will be the end of me is the upgrade to my smb. BUT having a blast and it looks kewl.

I doubt the organizer of the event would appreciate us tailgating.

What we need is a spy to tag along with a GPS logging the trail. Then post the route for others to follow.

Re: Let's crash the VDUB Desert Blooming Wildflower Tour

SMBw should strategically be camped at one of the camp sites in the tour to accidentally show off their modern interpretations of the vintage VW campers.
