Got out to Mack's Canyon for a couple of days last weekend. I think it will be a good place for the meet and greet. There are 14 campsites that can hold two vehicles each and two group campsites that can comfortably hold 4 to 6 vehicles each. There is also one handicapped site. A play field is also available. Reservations are not accepted.

Mack's is a BLM fee site.

The only drawback that I see is that no fires are allowed between June 1 and October 15. Propane fire pits are allowed.

Are you and angler? Please make sure to know the rules.

Last year some species of fish runs were closed from June 1 to August 15. Am not sure if this will happen again this year.

There is a boaters fee to float the river.

Great info, thanks Larry!

Looks very similar to other eastern Oregon places we camp.

Hi guys and gals

Sorry for going dark for a few weeks but life happened and all good now.
Thank you Larry for the great pictures of the site and for everyone continuing to plan this out. I am not going to worry about planning day trips, I think we can do that at the campout. I will show up a few days early and save a few spots if I can.

Im going to start a new post with the date and Macks as the place officially for the camp out.
I don't know how to attach this post to the new one so I am asking for help with that.

Ron

Sounds like a fun weekend, I plan on coming. I would love to get some ideas for my 1998 SMB.
