Re: Marble, CO White River

I've been there. There's an easy trail up to the marble quarry, which is cool to explore. There's another trail (CR 3) that follows the Crystal river that is really pretty and goes by the famous crystal mill then over the top to Schofield, Gothic and Crested Butte. Never tried it in an SMB just ATV's. There was one bad stretch that was a shelf road over the river. It was narrow with large rocks to climb over.

Re: Marble, CO White River

Zeta,
We did it a few years back in our 94' Quigley. Lots of fun, had to fold the mirror back just past the bridge to clear the rock wall at the shelf road. Then we had to build the steps up a little with some rocks. Once you start up you can't open either door, wall on the right, cliff on the left. The creek crossing at the top can be deep, 2-3ft.
One year we were unable to cross on our mtn bikes. The creek was too swift and deep to cross.
The place is incredible! There's a great camping spot just outside the Crystal.
Another must see is to go to the quarry site. You can walk right up to the edge of an active marble quarry.
What's a Democratic Convention? And why wasn't I invited?http://sportsmobileforum.com/posting...y&f=11&t=9704#
