Meet Up at Tahquamenon Falls State Park

April 26-28th

This April 26-28 marks the 25th annual WPBO Spring Fling, when members and their guests “migrate” to Paradise, Michigan and the Whitefish Point area. Birders can expect excellent birding along with opportunities to learn more about avian migration and conservation in the Great Lakes.

The state park should have electricity but all other services will still be turned off. Spring is late coming up there this year so expect "some" snow in campground.

Beer at the Brewery should be cold.

This pic was taken about mid March. Should be melted or mostly melted by and of April....maybe

If you come bring warm clothing and wind proof outer wear. Always a strong wind off of Lake Superior.

We will be attending the Spring Fling and camping at Tahquamenon Falls State Park

With the spring snow melt the falls will really be flowing (pic Upper Falls)

Quite early morning at the point.

Re: Meet Up at Tahquamenon Falls State Park

Hmmmmmmmmm Latest report still 2' of snow on ground. Saw some pics taken 5 days ago and 8'-11' drifts around some year round homes. State park is plowed but might have to dig out power pole. On other hand things tend to melt fast this time of year. Will take mukluks and snow shoes just in case we need them to get around.
