Sadly, there will be no Baja 1000 for me this year due to work commitments. In years past it's been the highlight of the year and I fully intend to continue going once I retire, which may be sooner than I thought. Have a great time.............

Watching this thread closely. Chomping at the bit to get my rig down there.
Hey DosMares, you're in my hood. I'll bet we've waved at each other once or twice.

Anyone expect retaliation against Americans down there in the near future? Going to Baja and witnessing parts of the race has been dream of mine. I finally have a rig to go down in, but I'm wondering if it might get a little sketchy with whats going on right now.

Personally I think concerns apply more accurately to California than Mexico.

Hello Kccourtney,
I'll get an avatar on here some day but in the meantime keep an eye out for the Baja-Beige e-350 with a Quigley 4wd package.
That''s us!

Edit: Hey Kevin! Just looked at your gallery and recognised the rear pull out drawerr you installed. This is Mark, we took your rig for a test spin before settling on one with a 50 layout. I'll keep you posted on New Years down south but let''s get together regardless...

Interested. Can any of you tell me about diesel fuel? I have a 09 6L that prior to the 2007 mandates ran #1 diesel but anything after that, had to run ULSD #2. I think it's still the leftover engines in the vans and the Ford pickups got the 6.4L that was made for ULSD. Thoughts and opinions?

Relative to how Mexicans feel right now towards American white people....I was in LORETO during the election and I apologized to several locals for our collective bad behavior. As usual and true to my lifetime of experience with Mexicans they were gracious and while concerned about what may be next place no blame on you nor me. If you have spent anytime south of the border you know what I mean. Go south! It's safe and friendly as usual.
