Great report. Tx for sharing. Baja sure does beat the crap out of vehicles and can be difficult to endure at times. We limped back stuck in 4 low for about 16 hrs coming back from guerro this past year. Not fun. All in all it looks like you had an epic trip. Animas is a fun destination with some very good diving and spearing to be had at a few of the big features in the relatively nearby vicinity.

Thanks Geoffff - good report and I was able to trace out your trip on some maps. GPS points helped a lot! Going last of March for a month or so. First timer.

There’s several threads going with people talking about heading to Baja. We will be crossing at the the end of the month, hopefully the 25/26, and will be down for feb/March. Would be great to meet up with some folks along the way, I’ll update soon on one of the other threads or perhaps start yet another. Hope to catch up with A/T (Jeff) at some point down there, as we’re on bit of a different schedule.

We will be at our place south of San Felipe at the end of March for the Baja 250. All are welcome to stop by and have a margarita, stay a spell, what ever... We're gonna head out to the desert behind our place a few days before and see if we can find a good/safe spot to watch the race from.

There's not a ton to do in this area, but places like shell beach, the sulfur mines, the fossil beds, and Matomi ranch can be fun little side trips. Venturing out with fat tire MTN bikes can also be a blast.
