MTB coyote springs Jan 28th and 29th
I have a small group of riders going to Glendale nevada that weekend. We will be free camping with a good friend that did the trials at Gooseberry Mesa and riding some new ones he and another great trail builder started.
Pm me if you want to join us and I will send you the directions.

Re: MTB coyote springs Jan 28th and 29th
Ok it’s on and we have permission to ride Coyote Springs the weekend of January 28th and 29th
The trails in this Private community have had some pretty good trail builder’s hands on them. Brett from Bootleg and Morgan from Gooseberry have and are working on them. Per Morgan we have 36 miles of trails to ride.
We will be camping and it will be cold so Firewood will be needed.
Need to know if you want to do a potluck Saturday night?
Yes you can come in on Friday. We need to know who and approx arrival time. Gate needs to be opened.
Restrooms are not available and I would like to leave the area better then we found it so Wag bags for solids are a must. Wal-Mart has the stool and bags cheap (good to have as part of your quake kit)
I will be the contact on this and yes I would like to know who’s going so an Email would be nice.

Re: MTB coyote springs Jan 28th and 29th
what a great weekend of riding. We had 12 riders show up and made for good size group.
We checked out the fossils on top of a ridge then ran 1800 foot drop of winding sigle track. Total ride time for the weekend 6 hours
The weather was cool but not cold and perfect to ride.
All trails are sigle track and well marked.
Trails done
Sidewinder
Fightclub
Rock crusher 2 times
Mikes canyon
Godfather
If you want to ride it you can park outside the gate and ride the old highway in.
mikes canyon to rock crusher then turn left and climb back up Mikes then to Godfather once on old highway go right to sidwinder and climb climb and more climb. ( if you stay left it will do a out and back to one of the ridge tops) now stay left and have a LONG downhill back to the cars.

Sure wish I could have made it. Post up if you do a repeat.
Any photos to share of the riding?

The group atop the climb.
You can kinda see the trail going back down.
most all the trails are just out of view to the right.
I was having to much fun and only took 5 pictures the whole weekend. I know people had camers put this is all I have worth looking at.

Re: MTB coyote springs Jan 28th and 29th
I'm tentatively going to ride this on Saturday, February 18. Anyone want to join me?
I have business in Vegas Thursday and Friday, so thinking of driving out from the SF Bay Area Wed. evening / Thursday morning, do my business, camp somewhere in the general vicinity of this trail Friday night (anyone have a recommendation for remote camping this night?). Ride Saturday, perhaps end up somewhere near south end of Death Valley Saturday evening, work my way east to west past Striped Butte, Barker Ranch, Goler Wash on Sunday, camp where ever I land Sunday night then get home at a reasonable hour Monday. Kind of my personal selfish mini-vacation. Wife seems OK with it!

Re: MTB coyote springs Jan 28th and 29th
I met Morgan working on tread at Little Creek a couple of years ago. Really nice guy.
Looks like some fun riding with lots of limestone chunkiness to relish.
