its looking like we will have a good turnout of forum members from the NorCal area. Looking forward to meeting up, some BBQ, and checking out the different van builds.

GAR could you give us some basic guidelines on how you see the BBQ idea.
Pot luck? Tailgate? Etc. Timing? How many vans?
Thanks, Chris

I'm curious if BBQing is realistic at this location. Is there a place to dispose of coals?

BBQ as you please, or bring something to eat that is already prepared. If ya do BBQ, be prepared to take your coals with ya. Also, be prepared to pack out your own trash/body fluids/ human waste.

As to how many folks will come, your counting of the people that have replied to this thread is as good as mine. As to “timing” the plan is to meet at 1330 hrs.

What happens after that is totally up to us. If a few of ya know each other personally and want to coordinate between yourselves on food prep, have at it. I plan on preparing my food however I feel that day. I may bring a BBQ, and Ammo can to pack out hot coals, or I may grab some sandwiches at WholeFoods and just hang out with that.

Sounds like fun, but I'm a bit far away to make this one. I do know that spot well though. I worked out of the Bay Ship office directly infront of the Hornet for several years. Enjoy...........

Good time

Such a beautiful day on the bay. I counted 11 vans, and one Jeeper (whos van is at CCV). Some BBQ’d, some brought food, all enjoyed hanging out and meeting like minded adventurous spirits. I personally enjoyed meeting each and every one of you that came out. Hope you all made it home safe!
