Re: NorCal Sierra 4x4 Meet (LEAVITT TRAIL WILL BE OPEN)

Thought about all of you guys having fun when I passed Sonora Pass on my way to Oregon last week, and also today when I passed it again on my way back home. Passed it on the eastern side both times. Love the Bridgeport area, unle$$ you need fuel that is.

Have fun.

There are only two spots on the trail which would cause problems for two-wheel drive and I really don't think you could get through them easily. They weren't real technical but 4wd Low made it easy to negotiate them.

There were a lot of vehicles at the lake besides our group and every vehicle was a 4x4, 98% of them pickups.

Re: NorCal Sierra 4x4 Meet (LEAVITT TRAIL WILL BE OPEN)

Thanks for the trail report, I'm going to be heading up their in the next few weeks when work slows down. Hopefully this will get me fired up to do my 4x4 conversion, I have all the parts but so little time!

Thank Dave

Nice pictures and bummed I missed the group shot. Always wanted to be in one of those. A quick thank you to all for making my first trip fun and memorable. Also special thanks to:

Dave and Don for diagnosing and getting my batteries back up and running. Also for keeping everyone warm at night.
Jack and Jacque for personally escorting me up to the lake and all the neat stories.
Craig and Cindy for feeding me so I can stay the extra night.
Paul for the SMB lip balm and bear print

I had fun exploring around the lake. It was great to finally meet some of you. Looking forward to the next adventure soon. Take good care.

Well since I have service I'll add a few too, but the good pics are on the real camera and will have to wait.

My camp

Craig, Cindy and Dave

1der's (Ray and Jennifer's) sweet site with the best view

DaveB and his beast

More to come. I hate that I missed the group shot too. Maybe next time.
