NorCal Weekend Warrior - Crandal Peak Trail

June 12 and 13 for any that have just a week-end or less for camping. We are leaving here around 11am and coming back Sunday afternoon.

Somewhere along the trail (most likely Sand Bar Flat) we will camp. Not much of a challenge for SMB vans but perfect for a SMB Sprinter.

Maybe meet at Strawberry? Anyone been on this trail?

Regards,

Keith

Re: NorCal Weekend Warrior - Crandal Peak Trail

I've done the complete trail Keith. I haven't posted the trip on my site yet. If all goes well I'll run it with you. It's an all day run. Don't plan to go to Crandall peak lookout...it's a mean trail. Herring Creek has some good camping if it's not busy. http://www.hikercentral.com/campgrounds/114612.html
Maybe we can get Mike to join in.

We are doing this as planned. Hope some of the SMB gang can join us!

Got snowed out of Sequoia for Memorial Day and heading north to the Trinity River and later to Motelle Beach. What fun!

Not sure if I can make it....I was supposed to be in Yellowstone right now...things are just not going right for me. Who knows, I might show up if Wyoming gets trashed.
