Overland Expo Ashville, NC Oct 2-4th
Putting out the word to see who is attending the upcoming Overland Expo in Ashville, NC?
Kathy and I plan to attend again and thought that last year was a great event considering it was new.
Taylor Ranch was very nice.
We may get into town a few days early if anyone is around to share some food/drinks.

Marc, it's a good time. Come on up and share some suds with me on Friday. I've got to leave Saturday morning but hoping to come over Friday for an overnight.

I'll be there again with a hope for better weather. Would like to avoid camping in the vendor's parking area this time around. Still have a hard time with the decision to completely close off access to the camping area last year. Not cool.

Hi folks,
I am new to the forum, but have been lurking for a while. Learning and appreciating a lot! Plan to contribute to the forum as soon as the site would re-enable this feature.
Anyhow, I'm registered for all 3- days at the Expo and hope to meet as many SMB members as possible. My SMB is still in 2WD mode and in the early research stages for "conversion" . Seemed like there is so much knowledge on offer at the Expo! I'll be driving my wrangler there to learn as much about 4X4 driving as possible in 3- days. Staying at a hotel though, not camping.

Looks like I'm out this year. I'm headed to Florida that day instead. Not an SMB trip, but a great trip. You guys have a blast. I highly recommend it to anyone, whether you have an expedition camper or not. Take a tent. There are lots of facilities, food vendors, and beer.

Anyone out there heading to the upcoming expo? SMBers had a strong showing last year. I'll be arriving late Thurs afternoon and staying the duration. Hope to make it to the camping area this time.

Re: Overland Expo Ashville, NC Oct 2-4th
We'll be there all weekend, looking forward to some good times with good people. And good weather!
I have some local BBQ coming Friday night if anyone wants to swing by the booth for a little UJ get together. The Sherpa will be pouring local frosty beer too if that interested anyone. Hope to see/meet some of you guys there.
Can't miss our booth, top of the hill next to the check in station.
FYI--- Our shop is only 3 miles away so if anyone needs anything feel free to stop by. We'll be there until lunch or a little after on Thursday.

It became a sloppy mess after all of that rain Friday. The land owner is pretty particular since this property is mainly used for weddings & events, I think they had sent him away for the weekend so he wouldn't get too freaked out about the place being torn up!
