Overland Expo in Flagstaff May 15-17

Is anyone going?
If you went before, did you like it, what did you like most?
What would you stay away from? Aside from ending a sentence with a preposition...

I liked it. Was in the market for a camp trailer at the time, and this was one place where I could lay my eyes and hands on many options.

FWIW, I am glad I did not camp there. Might be good for some people though.

its worth it to see everything you did not know you needed. I'm going but will most likly not stay in camp but just stop in and say hi to friends .

the classes help if you are new to traveling off the pavement and want to ideas on what to do and when to do it.

Looking like I'll make it down with the wife and kids. Hopefully will solidify some future wanderings while the kiddos are still relatively portable (ages 5 and 7...). Pretty stoked that the missus was fired up to check it out. It will be our 1st Expo

This will be my 4th. I am hoping to camp with the other SMBs. You could spend a day walking around the camping area checking out the rigs. I mainly go to catch up with friends and meet new ones. I have never taken a class, but know others that have enjoyed them. It is worth seeing once. If it was not so close, I would not attend every year, but being a 2hr drive makes for a fun weekend. I will say that I always find something I must have. The last day is great for deals. Cash is king. Hope to meet other SMB owners and share ideas and information.

We are camping there for the weekend.
Typically go every year but just for the day. It's fun to walk around and check out everyone's rigs, even in the parking lot.

My wife and I will be going to our first.
Will they put similar vehicles together in the camping area?
Is there a way forum members can identify themselves at the expo?

We'll be there as a featured vehicle just hanging out and absorbing as much info from other long term travelers. I think our van is easy enough to locate us if anyone wants to drop by and say hi.

Re: Overland Expo in Flagstaff May 15-17

Since I've never been and it's an 11 hour drive, I'm scheduled to be there for the entire event. I'm also signed up for some of the driving courses to see how far my SMB will go...well, almost how far it will go!

I'd be interested in joining others that may have post-Expo exploration plans.
