Don't suggest that, even in jest.

Imagine what a 5# chunk of snow (or ice) will do to the following car on the highway.

So rare that I can participate in a snow covered thread.
Here's when it started snowing last week while I was mounting my front Bushwackers

Here's 6 hours later

Re: Quick trip to Big Bear....

This was taken a few seasons back but I'll never forget it. This is what we woke up to 3 mornings in a row in Kirkwood.

I would be thrilled to have even half of that fall this year. We haven't been out in the snow once this year.

Well, I don't completely. It's sticking out like that because of all the other crap stored under the carport.

Anyway, sorry for the hijack OP. I guess we SHOULD start an SMB snow pics thread!

Re: Quick trip to Big Bear....

Since we are here might as well post snow photos...

This was at the top of my friends driveway which was not a good spot to be in. The driveway was 500 plus feet long and very steep. There was a frozen ice layer under the snow. Several cars slid down uncontrolled to the bottom trying to get down.

Re: Quick trip to Big Bear....

Brent, that can't be the whole story! The suspense is killing me! So, did you MACHO right past the stuck cars in your BAD*** SMB or did you think about the $ investment and wait? The first option would be a cool movie, but I bet the second would be my choice.

Re: Quick trip to Big Bear....

I got down unscathed. 4 low with just a touch of brakes.

A few of the others had some minor damage and one was lucky to slide into a snowbank on the side of the road which stopped him.

A couple were just using brakes to control their decent....you know how that works out....

I should have put the video on. Next time...

Two weeks ago. Manning Park (2½ hrs east of Vancouver). Sunday morning. 39cms. (Over a 10-day period starting on about Feb 13, they received about 1.5m of snow.)
