Last minute trip out to the Fish Creek area in Borrego this last weekend with the crew.

that area looks really cool, but i didnt see any fish or creeks in any of the pix. any idea how it got its name?

as always, great pix and thanks for sharing! oh, and btw, your ratpack has some really cool rigs/trailers/setups.

There are some great rigs in the group and very capable.

Briefly read online that the area has fish fossils in the canyon walls from millions of years ago.

This area is only about two hours from the house and on the way out there is a great piece of BLM land we all were able to target shoot on. A lot to do and see in the area.

Agreed, having the second largest state park in the US an hour or so away is a great for exploration and camping. Having most of Baja to explore 20 minutes away is not bad either....

I had to laugh at the one picture of all the different camping setups. It chronicles my evolution to the Yeti perfectly. Started with a roof top tent. Then i went with a Kodiak ground tent. I followed that up with a tent trailer before buying the SMB.
