It will be the highlight of the trip as always.

Re: RAIN DELAYED - Three days and two nights in Baja!

This weekend's trip is being delayed due to monsoonal rain storms and thunder storms in Northern Baja.

I received reports of heavy rains up in the mountains and 80% chance of rain on the coast - doesn't sound like fun to this desert lover, so we are postponing the trip for another day when it won't be so muddy.

This will give some of you another chance at a better date which I will figure out later.

I'm loaded up and ready to go!

We will still work on the spring trip to see the whales.

Re: RAIN DELAYED - Three days and two nights in Baja!

Doh! Too bad. I was looking forward to reading the trip reports.

I wish some of that rain would head a little further up and cool off SoCal a little bit. Summer arrived hot and late!

These pictures are from our trip to San Ignacio in March 2007 (pre-SMB). I just looked at them again for the first time in a while, now I really want to go back.

Re: RAIN DELAYED - Three days and two nights in Baja!

this sounds like a great long weekend Baja trip. The pine forests are on my list of places to check out. We did ten days from Las Animas south of Bay of LA to Alcatraz north in May. I'd love to hook up with you on a trip, always interested to see Baja through another set of eyes...

If you're south of Erindira, make sure you check out the cave a couple of coves south of where the road turns inland. Amazing spot, especially after spending most of a three day weekend trying to find it!

I'll be keeping an eye out for when you post up this trip again...

-Mark...
