san Simeon / Hearst Castle Camping?

Is there any good camping or trails in the vicinity? Not looking to drive far, but wife wants to go to Hearst Castle next week.

Just south of Hearst Castle a little bit ( a few minutes) Is a campground on San Simeon Creek. On the left going south.

That's about the only spot to camp in the entire area, and it's a campground (if you use them). That coast is so protected, there is nowhere to camp along it until you reach a couple of other campgrounds just approaching the Big Sur area. I did head up the Ferguson road (sot sure if that's the name) to remotely camp in the coastal range.
