True dat. The link I posted above also applies to the Red Rock District. If the OP has a question (or anyone) just call the regional office. Here's the wet weather closure map for the area. http://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_MED ... 340169.jpg
If the OP wants to visit Fossil Creek which is pretty popular there are several restrictions in place.
Sedona is wide open at the moment. No restrictions that I know of but of course there is no camping within city limits ,except at an established campground. No camp fires either. Flagstaff is drying out quickly. Most of the gated FS roads should be open within the next couple of weeks.

Re: Sedona/Flagstaff
Sweet! Thx for the pics. Just got the awning rigged up.
We are heading out Saturday and probably in Flagstaff sometime Sunday. Decided against the dogs.

Just about all trails on the west side of Schultz Pass Rd are good to go. Schultz Creek trail is dry but the higher elevation stuff in Dry Lake Hills still has snow or muddy sections. It all should dry out pretty fast now that the spring windy season is here. The Beartooth map for Flagstaff is decent: http://www.emmittbarks.com/maps.htm
If you want to ride the off the grid stuff I can send you a higher resolution version of this map.

Re: Sedona/Flagstaff
Is there a good local bike shop in Flagstaff?
Looks like I will be rolling just like your rig: two bikes on the hitch and two on top.

The more bikes the better
The easiest from the direction your coming would be Absolute Bikes. http://www.absolutebikes.net/
The other shop I would recommend which has a cool vibe is Bike Revolution. They are also next door to an outstanding micro-brewery. http://www.flagbikerev.com/

Re: Sedona/Flagstaff
Sorry to hi-jack for a second but JoeH do you happen to know Garro? Random question I know, but he's been round Flag for years and was one of the guys that got me in to riding.

Yep, I've known Garro since the 80s. In fact, I was with him having beers at Pay-n-Take the night of his accident. Great guy and awesome frame builder. He would just punish me on rides. Total annihilation. Life is a bit different now.

Re: Sedona/Flagstaff
JoeH. Good to know, I rode a bit with him in the 90s, well I was usually quite a ways behind him, and am proud to say he's building me a frame this summer. When I swing down to pick it up we'll have to have a pint.
Cheers
