Exactly two weeks and 6,000 mile (10,000 km). Experienced everything from hot weather needing A/C to 6 inches of snow and wearing my down winter jacket.
Route Taken - Lethbridge to Edmonton, over to Grande Praire, north to Dawson Creek where the Alaska highway starts. Alaska highway to Whitehorse Yukon. From Whitehorse north to Dawson City. From Dawson City up the Dempster Highway to just about the Arctic Circle. Back to Dawson City and over the Top of the World Highway into Alaska, down to Anchorage and Seward. Back across Alaska and back into the Yukon where we caught the Cassiar Highway down to Stewart B.C. / Hyder Alaska, then across the Yellowhead highway to Jasper, then south down the Icefield Parkway down to Banff then home.
I decided to fly my wife and 20 month old daughter to Whitehorse while i make the 30 hour two day trip up to meet them, thought it'd be better to save them the time in the van and get up there quick to start the trip fresh in the north. I was trying to meet their plane and only made it to Whitehorse with an hour to spare, so many of the pictures are from out the from window while driving, i wish it wasn't so but was my only choice for the time i had so please forgive the windshield streaks.
The below pictures are from Dawson Creek to Whitehorse. I'll post the others as i get them organized.
