Like many, our favorite place to be is in the Sierras. Sitting at the top of the Minaret Lookout Road right now at 10,252 feet watching the sun go down. Mammoth Mountain in the background. Great to have full internet and cell connection up here to post to the forum.
Hope to post a few more images from our 7 day trip up here which ends tomorrow.
Perfectly clear right now this am. The wind died down after sunset last night and we enjoyed a great dinner on top of the world. Around 9:00pm it picked back up and then some. Not a great night of sleep with the van being thrown around. It's blowing so hard right now I can't even set up a tripod to shoot morning images.

I assume you took the road up San Juaquin ridge from the ranger station at the top of 203?
If so, how difficult was it to get the SMB through the trees? Last time I tried it was a very tight fit and I decided to turn around.
It's very tight through the trees but doable. It's much tighter with my setup. An inch or so on each side in some spots. Pop tops should have it much easier with clearance.
I highly recommend the trip but would not stay at the top again. The wind was crazy.
