So Cal SMB Meet/Greet OCT 6, 10am Aliklik Camp Hungry Valley

CopesCobra started a thread about LA owners getting to together. Gonna help get the ball rolling.

Date/Time polling:
http://www.doodle.com/krykt6tatn4xpmww

Click on it and vote. Feel free to copy the link and forward it to others.

We'll close the polling Sept 3rd, Monday and announce the winning date/time for the meet to give everyone enough time to make arrangements.

Regardless, of the official date/time of the M&G please respond here with location ideas. Big parking lot, LA/OC area, camping potential would be great, especially, for those coming from far away.

Look forward to seeing everyone.

9/4/12 update:
Mark your calendars folks. Saturday, OCT 6th 10am is our meet date/time. I'm sure there will be some of us heading out early (Friday, 10/5) and staying longer (Sunday, 10/7). If there's no objections to Gorman that will be our meet location. Speak now or forever hold your peace. Thanks for participating in the poll.

9/5/12 update:
Meet Date/Time: Oct 6th 10am

Meet Location:
Aliklik Campground in Hungry Valley

Directions:
Traveling North on Interstate 5, exit at Smokey Bear Road. At the bottom of the off ramp take a left at the stop sign traveling under the freeway. At the next stop sign, make a left on Pyramid Lake Road and an immediate right onto Hungry Valley Road which is dirt. You will see a brown sign for Hungry Valley SVRA.

Traveling South on Interstate 5, take the Gorman Exit. Turn right at the bottom of the off ramp, then another right onto Peace Valley Road. The entrance to the park is one mile north on Peace Valley Road.

More info:
There's a 10 acre off-road course adjacent to it.

Re: So Cal SMB Meet & Greet Fall 2012 - Poll

Someone mentioned Bolsa Chica state beach. You can't camp overnight without a reservation which is hard to come by but they do have fire pits and close at 10pm. That would be my vote.
