Well the event is over and it was a lot of fun. Not a lot of Vans there, but there were a lot of van enthusiast. A wide variety of vehicles from a beautiful 80s Toyota 4 Runner to Jeeps and trucks with Roof Top Tents.

And then there was my friend, Kryptkat from The Samba, that showed up with his Vanagon Syncro Double Slider Panel. It was good to catch up with him and his family. Regretfully I failed to take a picture of his cool ride. It seemed like every other attendee took one though.

We were in the home built class, that I subjectively thought we had a chance of winning, and the van class which I didn't think we could win. We didn't win either one so I was half right. But I was shocked and amazed to learn we did win Judges Choice.

Cool event and the park it was held in was great. Met lots of nice people and enjoyed myself.

Shadetreevanman it was great speaking with you about your van and experiences with your build. My wife, daughter and I had a blast at the expo. Nice meeting you.

My first expo event, had a great time. Looked at Shadetreevavman's rig, I will have a similar rig once the top goes on beginning of April. Also enjoyed talking to his buddy in the VW syncro.
Thx
John

Wish I could have made it but a weekend in the desert with the moto won the weekend.
