Ray, I could possibly make it. There are several other events going on in Southern Ca that week, the King of the hammers race in Johnson valley, the Mecum motor cycle auction, and exercise Red Flag, all of which I hope to attend. Do you have a specific location in mind yet? Any camping nearby?...............

Artic Traveler,

There are a couple of RV parks near Disneyland. There are a few campgrounds along the coast that shouldn't be too busy this time of year. And there is O'neal Regional Park near south OC:

Best bet in that area is to camp it in someone’s driveway….

The group sites at O'neal Regional Park are easy to come by this time of year. Caspers https://www.ocparks.com/caspers is really nice too. Always seems to be booked up when you go online to get a spot but we've never been turned away when we just show up.

Bolsa Chica https://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=642 is always nice; grab a BBQ pit if anyone wants to hang out afterwards.

Dockweiler Beach https://beaches.lacounty.gov/dockweiler-rv-park/ in the South Bay has a new dry camping section that recently opened -campervans only. It's never full and it has fire pits too...

DosMars - thank you for those ideas! Seems like some issues around Jan 30th as one is closed, another does not allow alcohol, potential cost.

Scott - I am leaning towards Sunday the 30th

How does 10am or 11am to 3:30/4pm sound as a time window ?

@larrie, it would be really cool if you could make it in your van. That would be two people there with my former vans.

I don't know about this senior forum member stuff Ray is talking about, unless it's someone else. I plan to be there but I have no street cred except supplying the world with lots of my old vans, LOL.
