Couldn't see $hlt in Jacksonville, FL with all the rain and clouds..
Just another day at work...

We watched while floating on tubes on the Ocoee River here in Tennessee. Totality was amazing!! Second that on the insects and the birds quit when it got dark and started right back up simultaneously as it became light again. Super cool!

In Sacramento, the sky just went somewhat dim, like dusk. Sun still seemed circular. It did feel like the temperature dropped around 15 degrees.

Amazing phenomena, had goosebumps witnessing this once in a lifetime spectacle.

The post traffic on 97 South is a Cluster F.

No worries here, we stayed another night in beautiful Sunriver.

Sucked. Cleared right up about 1.5 hours later, which made it even worse.

I was in Olympia, WA. 94% at max. Very cool to watch.

Interesting day to say the least. First off I was late because I decided to grabbed my buddy out of Merced and it took time to get out in the sticks. Setup also took a bit longer than I had planned. As mentioned the temp drop was quite noticeable but we had below 80% of total so it never got very dark. Wish I could have been up there in the total darkness zone. Also the Wawona fire in Yosemite was pushing some heavy smoke down on us. Made for a few hazy shots. Anyway here are some pics.
