You could tell her my mother is 87-years-old and still drives people from Europe in her van on tours throughout the United States. She just got back yesterday from a week doing volunteer work on Indian reservations in Arizona and New Mexico. She was working with the elderly tribal members, all of whom were younger than her.

Or you could just tell your mother how much she will be missed . . . and you!

Do you think the rangers would let me use their landline daily for medical reasons? The EKG is portable. It won't work with a cell or portable phone.

I'm pretty sure they would. I can't imagine anyone saying no. But, if not, I'm sure I can find some LDS person (Mormon) in Overton who would let you use their phone. If needed I will call one of the bishops there and make arrangements for you. No problem!

But do you think your back can take the trip? Either way, I think I've got a SMB shirt for you in the box of shirts that arrived today.

Well I'd rather not have to drive anywhere. But hey, thanks for the thought. I'm still not released anyway so I might be forced to miss out. I've been dealing with this crap since Feb and they had to pick October to try and fix it! Just my luck.

I would advise against doing anything that would jeopardize your health. You just worry about getting well soon. And we'll see you at the next meet and greet!

Thanks Mac. If I can't make it I'm sure somebody will do a trip report like last time.

I'm sure somebody has jumper cables if you need a kickstart Dave.

Seriously though, I hope everything gets squared away and you're go to go.
