Well, there is not much way to move a vehicle from US to Iceland. I did some research some years ago and found only two:
- if the vehicle fits in a container, you can some rare cargo ship linking the East Coast to Iceland. Cost is about 5,000$ for a container and the same for the way back.
- if the vehicle doesn't fit in a container (VivaLaVida doesn't), you have to ship in with RORO (roll on roll out) to Europe (I paid about 3,200$ + 400$ harbour taxes), then to take thee ferry form Denmark to Iceland which costed about 4,000$ two way for VLV.
As everything is really expensive in Iceland, when you've to add boat costs, it's definitely not a cheap journey...
