Amazing as always. I'm surprised by the roofing materials, but I guess you have to use what you have available. Great photos.

Well, as you noticed, I favored wild areas where there is really nobody living. All the center of the island is close 7-8 months a year! But we anyway met some locals along the shores who were friendly although they do not seem to have a great propensity for spontaneous contacts.

Thanks Jeff. You're right, trees are pretty rare in most places and locals minimized the use of wood in construction. Moreover, peat makes an excellent insulation, the cheapest you can get there!

I built the snorkel a few weeks before leaving for Iceland. It wasn't an easy work but turned out pretty well I guess.
