Your pictures are beautiful and I especially like the way the clouds add a sense of drama to so many of your pictures, having a skyscape to match the landscape.

Thanks for the kind comments.

Here we continue.

245. Basalt cliffs in Snaefellsness

246. They are rather imposing!

247. Nice boondocking spot on the shore of a quite river.

248. We had a beautiful surprise that evening...

249. First, the Northern lights were quite smooth, time for me to play with VivaLaVida in the viewfinder.

250. Then suddenly, they became extremely bright!

251. Illuminating the sky as I never saw before.

252. ...

253. Dancing in the sky.

254. Changing so quick!

255. Then disappearing quietly...

256. The next day, we visited the fault that separates the North American and European geological plates. In some part of it, a river is flowing.

257. Arctic tundra.

258. Stokkur geiser.

259. ...

260. Boondocking in one of rare Icelandic forest.

Still a few days report to come...

Wow - you need to send some of those Pic's to National Geographic...I'm not kidding! The Giser (#259) is an Ansel Adams shot.
Great photography. Great trip.

Wow, just wow Claude! Those Northern Lights shots are amazing.

Thanks for sharing!

I thought of you the other night when my son and I had a pizza at the place where you and I had lunch that time years ago. When you're through cruising around Iceland come on back over to Maryville. We don't have Northern lights but we have Bud Lites!

Yeah, wow. Truly awesome. Thanks again for taking us along. One of these days I'll see the northern lights.

Thanks to all of you!

Eric, I'm definitely gonna let you know when I come to Tennesse again, to drink some Bud Lites together...
