We got people, we got food, and we've got the vans. We're good. Just be glad I wasn't trying to assign merit badges. I'm heading out in a few.

NW Meet and Greet (June, 2008)

Showed up, met some great people, talked vans, had a quick bite to eat and hit the road... three hours later. Thanks to everyone who showed-up for your hospitality and your time.

Cheers,

It was fun. It was good meeting everyone and putting posts to human beings. I enjoyed chatting with folks and looking at vans that were actually being used instead of on the factory floor. Although Twolost's van still look damn nice, especially next to my grub-mobile. I did end up lusting after even more of their accessories and features.

Everyone was a good sport about coming. The price of diesel being what it is Railbat was really brave coming all the way down to Seattle. (It's 100 miles from Bellingham to Issaquah, or $65 round trip.)

There is something a kind of silly about meeting with other Sportsmobilers in a parking lot at at picnic area, though. We'll have to pick a more rugged location next time. Maybe pick a map of one of the local National Forests or wildlife management areas (awful name) and throw a dart at it then see who can get there.

All silliness aside, I'm glad we did it and hope we can do it again.

Thanks.
