We are in to. How about meeting at the park and ride in Issaquah. It should be easy for everyone to find and is right off of the freeway.

What time do we want to meet? Is 8 AM ok, or are you thinking earlier.

Should we bring radios to keep in contact on the road/trail. I have a couple of small two-ways I can bring.

John

Sounds good! I have several Motorola "Talkabout" FRS/GMRS radios I can bring.

Can we meet at the Safeway in North Bend? That'd do away with some backtracking for some of us. Google says it's right next to the highway at exit 31.

My paranoia about getting up there to grab the good (only) spot will have us arriving fairly early. That's obviously the point, but it will leave us with the weighty task of entertaining ourselves for the afternoon. I plan on bringing my hiking boots and throwing the canoe on top of the van in case anyone wants to use it. I'll have to check the WDFW pamphlet. I may bring a fly rod as well.

There are other Jeep trails, like Brian said. I'd enjoy walking them to see how suitable they are for an SMB.

Have fun. Wish I could go but I have Sunday and Monday off. Take photos!

I'm OK with that, too.

Too bad about there being only one good campsite by the lake.

We could also save some of our wheeling until Sunday morning, after camping. When do folks have to be back?

I am ok with meeting in North Bend. I know where the Safeway is and it should be easy for everyone to find.

We have to be back in Seattle by 6pm so we should have most of the day on Sunday to play.

Let me know when this goes down and I'll make a group album for it.

Due to some family conflicts, we won't do an overnight although we are penciling in a Sunday daytrip out and back.

OK! It sounds like I'm hearing:

Coming:
- John & Dana
- Velogeo
- Geoff
- bitburger (Sunday only?)

Plan:
- Meet 8am Saturday at Safeway in North Bend, exit 31
- Convoy to Gallaher Lake

I'm always up for switching things around, changing our timing or destination, but I wanted to make sure we're on the same page.

Since the wife and I are not morning people we may actually drive up late Friday and boondock in the Safeway parking lot.

Are we planning on stopping for breakfast along the way or just driving staight to Lake Gallaher?
