we arrived thursday at smb north. Nancy picked us up at Fort Wayne.
Then I got my van. A '08 E350 EB SMB 2WD you see here:
I called it HayVan which means "animal" in turkish language as my wife is of turkish Origin.
They showed us everything inside and outside of the van. In Germany i just could See one before and have never driven One.
HayVan is to be converted to 4x4 in Oregon. So we got on our way yesterday at noon and made it up to 20 miles West of St. Louis. Not Bad!
Today we started early. Through hours of rain. Finally it stopped raining after Kansas City.
We came Until Goodland east of Denver.
Tomorrow we plan a little tourist approach to the Rockies. We want to drive the I70 and then US9 and US40 via Kremmling and Steamboat Springs in Direction of Saltlake City. Not all the way probably. See how far we get.
I will continue that if you are interested. Perhaps with some more pics.
We are Open for suggestions of how to drive and what to See on our way to portland. But we just have some days to get there.
Philipp

Probably any SMB location. I'm sure they have VIN records. You also may find something on the driver's door jamb. I'm pretty sure mine had some SMB West stickers/info there.

My 98 was built by SMB Indiana. When I called to find out a few things, Nancy told me that they kept records by the original owner's name. Thankfully I had that, as I'm only the second owner. But I was surprised.
