Yellowstone, Opening Weekend
My wife and I headed to Yellowstone last weekend. The western area roads opened up Friday morning from West Yellowstone to Old Faithfull, Canyon and Mammoth Hot Springs. We stayed at the Mammoth Hot Springs campground Friday and Saturday nights.
Lots of snow, more than years in the past. Canyon area especially. The weather was not too bad. A few snow fluries here and there but also saw some sun.
Quite a few animals out and about. Woke up Sunday morning to a herd of 20 or so bison wandering through the campground. Besides the bison, elk, coyotes and geese, which seem to be everywhere, we saw a couple of wolves and a grizzly bear. Too far away for a good images but fun to watch.
This was the first time in the Park with the SMB. It's a great way to travel and camp. Easy access to the camera gear and sitting in a good spot, with the top popped, watching the wildlife is the only way to eat lunch.
Can't wait to go back!

Here are a few images from the trip. Adding a few more to the album later.
