Yellowstone winter trip

Spent last weekend in Yellowstone with our van.
It was not too cold; the coldest it got was around 0F.

Having a an air heater (we have an Espar D2) and a coolant heater (also an Espar) is essential though.
Driving off the road and getting stuck in the snow happens often; we were able to help one car get back on the road.

Awesome adventure! We would rather deal with just mother nature then 10,000 tourist buses any day.

Marcel - Your first photo (Starry Night) is fantastic! Alone, it's a serious motivator to get the hell out-of-town.

Right!

Here is my thermometer from Yellowstone on 1 Jan last year -37C (-35F).
We were in our VW Jetta and stayed in a hotel that visit!
Just illustrating what "really cold" means here!

Thanks!
"Get the hell out of town": Yes, so true! I am sometimes angry with myself about how much I tinker with the van at home instead of just using it! We can debate all sorts of improvements and modifications until we see blue in the face (pun intended), but ultimately there is one thing that matters most: "Did we get out?, Did we use the van?, And did we have a good time?"
