2003+ Express/Savana auxilary tank options

Hello,

Looking for suggestion on retrofitting auxiliary tank where the spare wheel goes. I have a 2013 duramax extended wheelbase van. The off the self options are expensive $1k+, so want to see if any of you have successfully retrofitted tanks from other vehicles and how you plumbed it.

Have been using the scepter tanks as a backup on trips, but it's a hassle.

Thanks.

I think some cutaway chassis had rear mount tanks but I'm not certain. You've likely looked in that direction, but if not then I'm sure a used one could be had pretty inexpensively. What size is your current tank?

Yep same for me. Cut away could be the way to go. I moved my spare up to my bumper and have that space available as well. I’ve considered it but I feel like my fuel economy is decent enough I decided against. May go with a storage box.

NOT CHEAP however they work GREAT!

I have this system on my 4WD Chevy Express 3500 Van. Fits under the van where the spare tire mounts. I now have 70 gallon capacity for fuel.
