Curious what you are doing with rear aluminess galley box and spare carrier with regard to the center where these two meet when they are closed? There is a hole for what may be a padlock to lock them shut. It does seem to make sense that something should be stuck in there even if not a lock. I currently have a bolt with some electrical tape that I wedge down in the hole when driving. easy in, easy to get out, but not ideal.
Same wire lock pin but I made it loss proof by adding some 7X19 1/16 in. wire that I swaged on between the pin and a tiny hole I drilled in the aluminum thingy that overlaps the other aluminum thingy.

Damn, I sure love the technical descriptions you get here....

Is the assumption here that the two swing arms might fly open while driving down the road? My tire and galley box arms seem pretty secure if I make sure I slam them shut. Do I really need to also lock them with some type of pin? I definitely don't want to put a lock on them. I have so many locks with keys on my rig right now I look like a jailer.
